Hello coaches, parents and team managers.

The long wait is finally over. Basketball is set to return this Saturday the 6th of November. Team managers could you please pass this information out to your teams.

Covid restrictions will still apply. Basketball Victoria has announced the reclassification as Green 50. This means masks are mandatory for anyone over the age of 12 at all times unless they are actively involved as a player, coach or referee. It also means a max of 1 parent accompanying a player into the stadium, but this is subject to density limits. The BBA and CBA might decide to limit patrons further for certain courts and stadiums, and if that is the case, we will notify you when we are made aware of the decision.

As it stands now, vaccine requirements do not apply to community sport. But Basketball Victoria has made it clear it is up to each association and venue to decide for themselves if they want to follow any vaccine mandate, and we will let you know as soon as the BBA and CBA confirm this.

Training will resume the following Monday the 8th of November. The same limits apply to training. 1 parent at most per child.

Please remember to be respectful to everyone, this has been a very difficult few months for us all.
